Terms of Service

1. Who Can Use ServeConnect

You must be at least 13 years of age to create a student account. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement. Accounts found to belong to users under 13 will be removed.

Organizations may register if they are legitimate community programs, nonprofits, or service organizations offering genuine volunteer opportunities for students. We review all organization registrations before approving them for the platform.

By using ServeConnect, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for providing accurate information when registering and for keeping your account information current. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You may not create more than one account, impersonate another person or organization, or register on behalf of someone else without their authorization.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use ServeConnect only for its intended purpose of connecting students with volunteer opportunities. You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Use the platform to harass, threaten, or harm any user
• Attempt to contact minors through the platform for any purpose unrelated to legitimate volunteer coordination
• Use the platform to solicit money, collect personal information beyond what is needed for volunteer coordination, or engage in commercial activity
• Attempt to access accounts or data that does not belong to you
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or abuse the platform
• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose

4. Our Role

ServeConnect is a platform that facilitates introductions between students and organizations. We are not a party to any volunteer arrangement, and we do not supervise, coordinate, or take responsibility for any activities that take place between matched users.

Organizations are solely responsible for their own volunteer programs, including appropriate supervision of student volunteers, compliance with applicable laws and safety requirements, and ensuring that their programs are suitable for the age and grade level of participating students.

Students and parents or guardians are responsible for researching organizations before participating, and for making their own judgment about whether an opportunity is appropriate. We encourage all users to review an organization's website and other available information before accepting a match.

Service hour records generated through ServeConnect are provided as a convenience. We make no representation that they will be accepted by any particular school, chapter, or program.

5. Limitation of Liability

ServeConnect is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ServeConnect and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of opportunity, or harm arising from activities coordinated through the platform — regardless of whether we were advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of your use of ServeConnect shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (which, as the platform is free, is zero).

6. Termination

We may suspend or terminate any account at any time, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms, for conduct that we determine in our sole discretion is harmful to other users or to the platform, or for any other reason.

You may stop using ServeConnect at any time. To request deletion of your account and data, email us at reyaansh.tomar11@gmail.com.

7. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of ServeConnect that cannot be resolved informally shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Arizona, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of ServeConnect after updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If a change is material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users via email.
